38 luxury las vegas | march 2014 T he biggest fashion storyline this spring is the classic combination of white and black with pops of neon or bright hues for a headline-making look. Where better to illustrate a black and white color story than the press and production areas of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the city's newspaper. From the RJ's five-story Newsliner printing press to the newsprint storage room which houses 2,000-lb bales of paper delivered by train twice a week, we found a host of backdrops for our spring fashion feature that included everything from an Armani tux to a Versace day dress. The paper's antique Linotype machine, packaging room, and morgue also served as newsworthy spots for showcasing a range of fashions, such as Page Six worthy pencil skirts and peplum tops or more studious turtlenecks and bowties. Spring's monochromatic color palette is definitely all the news that's fashionable to print.
