An ode to spring's budding FALL IN LOVE WITH THE POWER OF PRINT, BIG BRIGHTS AND STATEMENT MAKING JEWELRY PHOTOGRAPHY: John Michael Cooper, AltF Photography, MAKEUP/HAIR: Zee Clemente, STYLING: Jenna Doughton, FASHIONS: Saks Fifth Avenue, MODELS: 2012 Luxury Model Contest Winners -Gia Crimi, Shawn Dearing O ftentimes a great romance is not all black and white, there are shades of gray to be found, but not this season. Designers seem to be smitten with the clean simplicity of black and white contrast -- whether it comes in checkerboard, chevron, polka dot or striped patterns -- it is going to be a staple this spring. Same goes for the season's neon crush on electric hues. Designers can't seem to get enough of the drama brought on by bright yellows, sizzling oranges, cobalt blues, tangy turquoises, and hot pinks -- and neither will you. And, of course, a prerequisite for any budding romance is an abundant offering of flowers, so don't discard with florals just yet. They are bigger, bolder and wilder than ever. Dolce & Gabbana's certainly avoids a garden variety silhouette with its lush sendup to blooming roses featured on our cover. The season's prints aren't necessarily relegated to floral -- optical prints emboldened by geometric shapes and abstract designs have also worked their way into this spring's fashion love story. march 2013 | luxury las vegas 39
