slipped into her silk charmeuse Nicole Miller gown for the photos. "It was knee-buckling. I was really shook up," Norm said. "It was the most emotional moment of the day. When I turned around there she was -- the most beautiful woman ever." Having already seen his fiancé dressed to perfection, Norm remained collected as Cara elegantly made her way down the aisle. In addition to Goodman's "light and fun" personality, the pressure of speaking was taken off of the couple because each member of the wedding party shared their chapter in the couple's lives in the place of traditional wedding vows. "I didn't want to speak and Norm was fine with that," Cara said. "We've got these fabulous attendants and we started to think maybe they should be more than window dressing," Norm added. The newlyweds treasure every sentiment spoken but Norm's brother Jeff delivered the speech that they now describe as "masterful." It was July 8 when Jeff "froze" in his attempt to speak in front of a smaller crowd for Norm's birthday celebration. Determined to be speech-ready for the October nuptials, "he hired a speech coach," Norm said, who has worked with the same coach for over a year. The moment of truth came for Jeff when anxious, on-looking eyes greeted him at the open podium. Jeff went on to share a time when Norm reached out to him in a letter, which carried the message of a much needed "atta boy" in the midst of a trying time. "That in itself was just a real special moment and he could not have shared that moment with me at a greater time in my life," Norm said. "He just really knocked it out of the ballpark." Soon after the knot was tied, guests adjourned to the Cabaret Jazz in The Smith Center's Boman Pavilion for the reception which provided an exemplary follow-up to the art-deco themed ceremony. Bestowing another "Vegas touch" upon the guests was the evening's entertainment -- Las Vegas' own acclaimed singers Clint Holmes and Kelly Clinton-Holmes. "Clint is such a shiny example of a quintessential performer," Cara said. "To have Vegas be able to claim him is pretty special for us." Seated at tables embellished with silver linens and white floral centerpieces to match, the guests were served a duo of sea bass and tenderloin alongside a potato side dish, a beet salad and hors d'oeuvres.
